You can find instructions for travelling to Athens from area airports here. Although there is a shuttle from the Atlanta airport, it's expensive enough that a sufficiently large group of people might find it more economical to rent a car and carpool. Also, if you fly into Greenville or any other airport besides ATL or AHN then you'll need to rent a car.
You can use the comment section below to organize groups to rent cars. When leaving a comment, be sure to indicate your planned dates of attendance, the airport that you're flying into, and how you can be contacted by any interested parties.
My intentions are to come for the first week of the conference, driving from Durham, North Carolina. Anyone interested? You can find my email address on my web page at Duke University.
Sincerely,
Benoit
(this comment didn't post the first time, so I'm trying again). I'll have a rental car - contact me if you need a ride. My cell is 773-266-2808. I'm arriving 8:20 pm Sunday 5/17, and leaving 11:40 am Saturday 5/23.

I have tentatively rented a car to drive to ATL on Friday afternoon, departing 3:45 (ie after the first afternoon talk, but unfortunately before the last one). I would be happy to give rides; send me an email if you would like a ride.
Disclaimer: If there is a shuttle arranged for that time, then I would more likely take that.
